GDC Number: 230106
Richard qualified as a dentist from Trinity College Dublin in 2012 having previously completed a degree in Business and Law in 2007. Once qualified, Richard moved back to the UK, where he spent his early life, and has worked in several practices in Surrey. During these early years after qualification Richard spent a year working as a maxillofacial Senior House Officer at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, gaining extensive surgical experience, completed a diploma in Primary Dental Care and passed the MFDS examinations gaining membership to the College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2014.
In 2015 Richard began his Endodontic Master of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) specialist training at Guy’s Dental Hospital (King’s College London) which he is due to complete in 2019. This will see him registered on the GDC specialist list. This training has given him broad experience in surgical/non-surgical endodontics and dental trauma, as well as heavily involving him in clinical research and teaching.
Alongside completing his postgraduate training, Richard works in several private practices in the South East of England and Dublin with his practice limited to endodontics and has been working alongside Jason and his team in the Whitehouse Dental Clinic since February 2017. He regularly attends endodontic conferences in the UK and abroad.
When not staring down his microscope, Richard does his best to be active and get outside as much as possible, often into the cold winter rain to watch Harlequins rugby matches at the Stoop, and he also makes the occasional trip abroad to top up his vitamin D levels or to the snow.
